Power the Service Circuit:
This mission is about something simple: Figuring out what our community can provide for itself. There are photographers, producers, engineers, designers, A&R professionals, podcast producers, marketers, consultants, event professionals, and countless other people already providing valuable services within our communities.

⚡ Power the Service Circuit
The problem isn't necessarily that these people don't exist.
The problem is that we don't always know who they are, what they offer, what they charge, or how to connect with them.
This mission starts building that map.
This Isn't About Replacing Anybody's Business
If you're a service provider, we aren't asking you to abandon the systems that already work for you. If you have a website, keep it. If you use Calendly, keep using it. If you have your own booking system, portfolio, marketplace, payment processor, or preferred software, that's okay.
Closed Circuit doesn't need to rebuild something that already works.
At first, we can simply create the connection:
Closed Circuit → Your Business → Your Existing Platform
A member might discover your photography service through the Circuit and click through to your website. They might discover your podcast production service and book through your existing scheduling system. They might find your A&R service and contact you through the channel you already use.
The Circuit becomes another door into your business.
So What's In It For Service Providers?
This is intended to create a value exchange, not simply another directory where businesses are expected to give something away.
If your service is approved for listing within the Circuit, you'll have two ways to participate:
⚡ Option 1 — Give Circuit Members a 20% Discount
You provide Closed Circuit members with a 20% discount on the registered service. In return, the Circuit helps make your service more discoverable to the community.
⚡ Option 2 — Keep Your Pricing and Give Back to the Circuit
You can maintain your normal pricing and contribute 10% of profits generated from Closed Circuit members back into the Circuit.
That contribution goes toward helping support:
Missions
Community opportunities
Sponsored sessions
Events
Future infrastructure
Redistribution and participation opportunities
The choice is yours.
The important principle is that being part of the Circuit creates a value exchange.
Why Would a Business Want to Do This?
Because we're trying to create something different from simply putting another logo or directory listing in front of you. We're building a network where:
Members discover businesses.
Businesses gain access to potential customers.
Members receive value from participating businesses.
A portion of that value can return to the Circuit.
The Circuit uses that value to create more opportunities.
And those opportunities create more activity for the businesses and people participating in the network.
That's the loop we're trying to establish.
⚡ And We Aren't Pretending We Know Everything Yet
This is a foundational mission.
We're not launching with the assumption that we've already figured out exactly what services the Circuit needs. We're going to find out. Maybe we'll discover that the community needs more photographers. Maybe there are dozens of photographers but almost no affordable recording engineers. Maybe A&R services are highly valuable. Maybe there's a service nobody thought to list that ends up becoming one of the most useful resources in the network.
We want the community to show us.
That's why we're asking service providers to register what they actually do.
What Happens After You Submit?
Submitting a service does not automatically mean it will be published. Services will be reviewed by Circuit Spotters.
The purpose isn't to make it difficult to participate.
It's to make sure that what we put into the Circuit is actually useful, understandable, and trustworthy.
Spotters will look at things like:
What the service is
Who provides it
What it costs
Whether there is enough information to understand the offering
Whether it appears relevant to the community
If something is missing, the provider can be asked to update it.
If it meets the requirements, it can be listed.
⚡ The Flexibility Is Intentional
We're also interested in how businesses already operate. We don't want Closed Circuit to become another system that forces every provider into the same workflow.
Different businesses have different needs.
Some may want Closed Circuit to simply send them customers. Others may eventually want:
Integrated booking
Integrated scheduling
Payments
Member pricing
Service requests
Provider dashboards
Direct partnership opportunities
Mission-based work
We're not forcing any of that today.
We're starting with:
Discovery.
Then:
Connection.
Then:
Measurement.
Then, where it makes sense:
Partnership.
And eventually:
Integration.
Don't Fear the Network — Help Shape It
For businesses, I understand why something like this could initially sound like:
"Is this another platform that's going to try to take control of how I do business?"
No.
The opposite is the intention.
We're trying to build infrastructure that makes the things you're already doing more discoverable, more connected, and potentially more valuable.
You don't have to rebuild your business around Closed Circuit.
You don't have to abandon the tools you already use.
You don't have to become something you're not.
Tell us what you already do.
We'll figure out where it fits.
And For Everyone Else...
This isn't only for people who own businesses. This mission helps create something important for everyone using Closed Circuit:
A clearer picture of who can help you accomplish something.
Need a photographer?
Eventually, you should be able to find one.
Need someone to produce your podcast?
You should be able to find them.
Need an engineer?
An A&R professional?
A graphic designer?
A videographer?
Someone to help with marketing?
Someone to help develop your artist project?
The Circuit should increasingly be able to connect you with them.
⚡ This Is How the Circuit Becomes Useful
We're building Closed Circuit around a simple idea:
The people who participate should help determine what the network becomes.
The Music Circuit mission is helping us understand the creative supply and demand within the network. This Service Circuit mission does something similar for services and businesses.
The information we gather will help us understand:
What exists.
What's needed.
What's valuable.
What's missing.
Who wants to work together.
Where Closed Circuit can simply make a connection.
And where it may eventually make sense for us to build something ourselves.
That last part is important.
We're not trying to build everything.
If someone already has a great system for providing their service, let's connect to it.
If enough people need something and the existing infrastructure isn't serving them well, then maybe that's where Closed Circuit should build.
⚡ Power the Service Circuit
This mission is now available in the Mission Centre. There are 12 participant spots available for this initial mission.
If you're a service provider, this is your opportunity to tell the Circuit:
Here's what I do.
Here's what it costs.
Here's how I currently provide it.
Here's how I can create value for Circuit members.
And if you're a member looking for services, this mission is helping us build toward a future where finding the people you need is easier.
We're not trying to create another marketplace just for the sake of having one.
We're trying to build infrastructure where value can move between people more intentionally.
Businesses gain customers.
Members gain access and benefits.
Contributors earn through missions.
The Circuit gains resources to create more opportunities.
And the community gets stronger because more of what we need can be found within the network we've built together.
That's the exchange.
⚡ Power the Service Circuit.
Build the network.
Connect the value.
Everyone eats.
